the green pattern...
...of the future. i was planning to go into the printroom today to print out some random pattern but steve 'the tutor' wilkin showed me how to use bitmaps, how to place them in illustrator and how to replace colour. it is a bit similar to the 'duotone' in pototoshop. i cant explain the difference. they both look like a screen print. i have phaffed around with them on the laptop since about eleven am and now it is just after one am! i have of course been fed and watered. i have printed some of the patterns out onto heavy weight cartridge paper and am just off to play with some colouring in crayons but not for long as ugly betty is on the dvd player and inspector marmalade is here. i have decided my work is of a repetative nature and that it is not a problem or wrong to work like that as it is one of my strengths. the most important thing is to enjoy the world of illustration and make myself laugh while doing so. i think the treadmill is pointing in the right direction now and just have to make sure i use a map to stay on the right path. plan and focus.

Lovely work Ladysnail, I like the 2shades of green, this would work really well as a fabric print.
