science...

...is for logical people and i think like spagetti. i get all in a muddle and my brain ends up feeling like a big knot that i cant get undone. i am slowly learning how to tackle illustration briefs at uni and find that the print room is a most useful tool. these are soft ground etchings created by pressing textures into the soft ground via a good old hefty printing press. these are/were for a molecular science brief and i was focusing on haemoglobin. i think some of the details within the prints look like viruses-so back to the drawing board i reckon. these were printing experiments and i am now working towards a more selective approach with the textures for a possible final image with the possibility of then taking it through another printing process.

I think the top one looks best-and I can see what you mean with looking like viruses! I'm intrigued to see the final product because this brief seems like it is pushing you a bit to consider your art outside of the usual arty context! Looks like you are going good tho woman! Keep up the hard work! Noons x.x.x

Was going to pm you but couldnt find email address for you, to say that yesterday I met someone, who lectures at Preston, bloke called Keiren, a jeweller, wondered if you knew him.

Penny.

These are BEAUTIFUL, Debbie. Such delicate, subtle textures - had you thought about manipulating these in Photoshop? Anyway, looking forward to seeing more of your work.
